Hi, I know this must be a popular question…but. What is a good scooter for a first time rider? I’ve been advised to keep away from China made models. Want something that has good storage, reliable and fairly inexpensive. Not too bothered about it looking too good, just now. Any ideas would be great.
There’s not a “best scooter” but a scooter to suit you , This will depend which scooter dealers & models are available near you , Price , Size and your own choice of scooter…
I think models of the Vespa line are a good choice for anyone looking to buy a scooter or just starting out. I think they are closest to the “best scooter” that you can get.

Look at the prices of parts plus labor and you have some very expensive upgrades from Rolling Wrench. Look at their stage 1 kit for the 4T as an example. It’s $385 installed, and that’s a $50 or less
So you can see you are getting different answers from everybody, and nobody is wrong about what they are saying. 2T, 4T, Chinese, Japanese, Italian. I tend to agree with everybody when they say the Chinese scoots are less reliable, but I disagree with them being junk. I
